GCSE LAW

A study of GCSE Law gives students the opportunity to extend their knowledge, understanding and application of the Law.

Students follow the AQA specification for Law which involves two units of study.

Assessment of each unit is by written examination both of equal weighting.

Unit 1 focuses on the English Legal system. This includes An Introduction to Law, Courts and processes, People in the Law and Sources of Law.

Unit 2 focuses on the Law in Action. For this part of the specification students undertake an in-depth study of Criminal Law and Family Law.
