MEET OUR HALLAM YOUNG CHAPLAINCY LEADERS

Our new Hallam Young Chaplaincy Leaders are;
Fleur Brown, Harley Taylor-Blessed and Eva Hanby.
They will be working in school under the direction of Mrs Reynolds (our Chaplaincy Co-ordinator) and organising a number of projects including fundraising for Cafod and the homeless as well as raising awareness on issues, such as poverty – getting members of our school community involved in collecting for our local food banks and other charities worldwide.
The students will also work with other students from the Hallam Diocese and get the chance to meet and discuss current issues with the Bishop.
A VISIT FROM THE BISHOP
On Tuesday 19th June, Bishop Ralph came to Saint Pius X to spend some time with our Cafod Young Leaders. Headteacher Miss Smith, Assistant Head Mr Murphy and our Chaplaincy Co-ordinator Mrs Reynolds joined the Bishop to celebrate the good work the students have been doing. After an informal chat and refreshments, the students were presented with a certificate from the Bishop. Jenny Allen from Cafod came into school to take part in the celebration.
YEAR 7 RETREAT

HALLAM YOUNG CHAPLAINCY LEADERS
Students from secondary schools in the diocese met to plan their next event as Hallam Young Chaplaincy Leaders. Students from St Bernard's in Rotherham, All Saints in Sheffield, Notre Dame in Sheffield and McAuley in Doncaster, joined students from St Pius X in their school chapel, where they spent the day together discussing and organising the next project that they will be undertaking as a group. They had a really good day which included an enjoyable lunch together.
