Our netball teams are doing really well and the PE staff have been very impressed with their progress. Our current Y7 netball team have been undefeated since they started playing in September. Winning every game they have played is a fantastic achievement and they are doing St Pius proud!
Our Y8, Y9 & Y10 girls have just competed at Rotherham Schools Trampolining Competition to get through to the South Yorkshire finals. 3 out of the 4 teams we entered were placed, gaining two Silver and Bronze places. Pictured below are the girls who competed. Well done!

These include taking part in icebreakers, learning leadership skills, working in small groups and developing new friendships. Curtis Allen attended Saint Pius X Catholic High School from 2011 – 2016. In October, to mark European Restart a Heart Day, several organisations and charities worked together on a national event to teach CPR to young people. The British Heart Foundation, British Red Cross, St John Ambulance and Yorkshire Ambulance Service organised a nationwide event to train over 150,000 children in CPR. In October , we held a very successful Anne Frank Exhibition in school. Some of our Y8 pupils acted as guides after attending training sessions. Most students had the opportunity to visit the exhibition as part of their history lessons. Many of our staff went along to see our students and join in a tour.
