The Stations of the Cross

Before Easter, some of our students led ‘The Stations of the Cross’ around the school as part of our Lenten traditions. At each station, the students in nearby classes prayed, and reflected on Jesus’ journey from being sentenced to death through His crucifixion and death.

ROCK MUSIC WITH A MESSAGE

On Thursday 28th April, our Y9 students had a special treat in the form of the rock band The Hara. This popular band (touring this spring and summer) are regular visitors in secondary schools. They perform some of their songs and talk to youngsters about the importance of on-line safety and having a positive mental attitude.

COLLECTION FOR WATH FOOD BANK

Over the last few months we have been collecting toiletries for the Wath Food Bank. Due to the long “Use By” dates on toiletries, the food bank struggles to acquire these items from supermarkets. The donations of toilet rolls, shampoo, soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes were gratefully accepted by Jacqueline Oliver who manages the Food Bank in the centre of Wath.
