Y6 Open Evening

Open Evening for Year 6 will take place on Tuesday 24th September 2019. This is for pupils applying to transfer to Saint Pius in September 2020. Further details (times etc) will be given out in September.

SOUP KITCHEN FOR THE ELDERLY

On Thursday 20th June, The Hallam Young Chaplaincy Leaders provided the food and entertainment for a Soup Kitchen for the elderly at the Mother of God Parish, Sheffield after leading their afternoon Mass.

CLIMATE CHANGE SLEEPOVER

News & Events

Some of our students took part in the climate change sleepover in the sports hall last Friday. The students had sponsors to ‘Hold the World in our Arms ‘. Money raised will buy recycling bins, water butts and also be donated to CAFOD.

SAFE HAVEN AMBASSADORS

Some of our Y9 students have applied to be the new Safe Haven Ambassadors in September and attended a training session with Mrs Ashton, who co-ordinates the Safe Haven resource along with Anne Foxley-Johnson (Anti-Bullying Educator) 

A VISIT FROM MP, JOHN HEALEY

This week, continuing our work on climate change, we invited MP John Healey to Saint Pius to talk with our CAFOD Young Leaders. During this discussion, students asked John questions about how the goverment is dealing with climate change issues. In the photograph is MP, John Healey with Headteacher, Miss Smith and all students who took part in the discussion.

As part of our Climate Change Campaign the CAFOD Young Leaders have been organising litter picks and helping with the card and paper recycling. They are also arranging a Clothing Collection.
