Remote Learning

Whilst working remotely from home our students will have 5 hours of remote provision each day and will follow the timetable of one of the classes in their year group. This will help to structure the day and ensure students maintain their usual routine as far as is possible. Learning will continue to follow the planned curriculum and sequence of lessons so students will experience new knowledge and skills. Some adaptations will be made in practical subjects such as technology where resources may not be readily available outside of school.

Lessons will be accessed through Microsoft Teams and students will be offered a range of resources as part of their learning. Some lessons will involve direct ‘live’ teaching, others will use pre-recorded lessons from Oak National Academy or those produced by our teachers.

Contact will be maintained with students and families through regular wellbeing calls from student support staff and teachers and messaging via Teams. Students with SEND will be contacted by the SENDCo.

Parents/carers are asked to contact school if their child is having issues with accessing their learning in any way. To access our policy please click on the link below.
