GCSE SOCIOLOGY

A study of GCSE Sociology gives students the opportunity to extend their knowledge and understanding of society and social systems.

Students follow the AQA specification for Sociology involving two units of study.

Assessment of each unit is by written examination both of equal weighting.

Unit 1 focuses on three areas – Studying Society, Families and Education.

In Unit 2 students focus on Crime and Deviance; Mass Media and Social Inequality.
