Saint Pius X Catholic High School

Saint Pius X Catholic High School

'LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS I HAVE LOVED YOU'

Welcome

Our school first opened its doors to students on September 16th 1957. Much has changed in education since then but we remain a Catholic school serving the families in the parishes of the Dearne Valley although we welcome students of all faiths and denominations with a desire to learn in a Christian community.

As a smaller secondary school our students feel safe and cared for. We value our students and staff. This is encompassed in our mission statement:

‘Saint Pius X Catholic High School is a Catholic school in which the Gospel message of the Kingdom of God is revealed through our work and through the relationships we establish with our brothers and sisters in Christ.’

‘Love one another as I love you’. John 13

We are proud of the academic achievements of our students which is testimony to their hard work and the dedication of the staff, and of the way our students support those less well off than themselves by fundraising for Cafod, cancer charities, local food banks and disadvantaged local children. We have three simple rules which comprise the attitudes we wish our students to develop:

RESPECT

RESPONSIBILITY

RESILIENCE

The school continues to develop and improve in providing the best possible education for our students. This includes ongoing refurbishments to the building, improving our IT resources and making learning as rich an experience as possible. We hope the website gives you a sense of this but if you have any questions about the school, or would like to look around please do not hesitate to contact us either by telephone or email.
